Description

TCU IdeaFactory will host its 3rd annual Social Impact Design Challenge competition on Friday, December 13th.  Entrants are encouraged to demonstrate that an activity is changing people’s lives for the better.  That, is developing an idea that shows a cause-and-effect relationship between an activity and a set of beneficial outcomes.  In essence, it could be anything worthwhile.

Competitive Design Challenge

This competition is for students who are seeking seed funding for their projects. Winners will earn seed funding for their project and the chance to be included in a social innovation accelerator in spring 2020 through the IdeaFactory in order to get their idea formalized into a structure.

Details:

  • Projects can be individual or teams (up to 4 people);
  • Projects don’t have to be a business or nonprofit organization, but these are allowed. The idea can also be a program or other idea. Projects can be internal to TCU or external;
  • All majors are welcome; undergraduate and graduate students;
  • Ideas can be early stage to ideas ready to implement. These need to be new ideas as opposed to ideas currently being implemented.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out to Stacy Grau s.grau@tcu.edu or Cedric James c.o.james@tcu.edu.

Once the number of submissions is determined we will have more information on the times of presentations and the format of presentations.
