Welch Professor of Chemistry and current department chair in organic chemistry. Eric started IdeaFactory out of the College of Science and Engineering to provide an avenue for science students to create and prototype their ideas. |

Executive Designers in Residence
 Bruce Nelson | Executive Designer in Residence for IdeaFactory Vice President of UX Design and Innovation at Sabre. With more than 25 years of experience, Bruce is currently leading design strategy, research and UI design teams that support more than 30 Sabre products across three business units: airlines, travel agencies and hotel brands. Prior to Sabre, Bruce spent 17 years at IBM where he established IBMix, one of the largest global digital agencies leading teams focused on customer experience strategy. Bruce was also Vice president of Ecommerce for Gamestop. He went to University of Texas – Austin (Marketing, Finance) and Northwestern University (Masters of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication). |

 Jesse Herrera | Executive Designer in Residence for IdeaFactory Founder and Executive Director of CoAct. Jesse uses design methodologies to develop strategic responses to today’s most pressing social challenges. With a degree in architecture, Jesse uses design methodologies to better define the underlying causes of challenges including food insecurity, college homelessness, housing insecurity and most recently the implications of the pandemic. Jesse sits on several boards and task forces in Tarrant County and has participated in several leadership programs. He went to University of Texas, Arlington (architecture). |
